Windows and Doors

Part of what I love about this hobby is making terrain.  To speed up the process, I've created a variety of doors and windows, molded them, and use cast duplicates on my buildings.
Here's a few of the windows and doors I've done.
First, are some Iron Kingdoms inspired ones.  These are the originals.  I have a few more to make before a create the molds.
I've adjusted the contrast to show the rivets a little better.

Here's some in the process of painting.  These will go on a row house I'm making.

More Cryxian goodness (or badness, as the case may be)

I've finished a few more models - working my way toward 35 pts.
Here's the Skarlock:

and my Pistol Wraith:

The Warwitch Siren (I'm going to have two of these when I hit 50 pts)

And finally, the Necrotech and Scrap Thrall.  I've had these models for a long time, and I'm currently using them to round out a 25 pt list.  I probably won't play them much when I get the rest of my models, but they were fun to paint.

Next up...Deathjack, Bane Lord Tartarus, Bane Thrall Officer and Standard, Bane Knights, Gorman Di Wulfe, and (hopefully) come September, a Desecrator.

Cryxian Necrotite Mining Rig

I did this piece of terrain before I even got the figures painted.  I've wanted to do something with motion and lights for a long time, so this was a great challenge and a lot of fun.

Here's a video of it in action:

Cryx Army

I have completed the battle box, and 10 Bane Thralls for what will eventually be a 35 pt. Cryx army.  Here are some photos.
First, Deneghra

and her bone jacks (two Deathrippers and a Defiler)

The Slayer (soon to be replaced by a Deathjack)

And here's Bane Thrall Leader

and a few of the Bane Thrall troopers

I'll add photos of each complete unit/model as I get them done.

Welcome to Shroudfall

Shroudfall is the hobby blog of Mark Woodside.  I've been gaming since 1981, and have played nearly every system out there.  My current system of choice for RPGs is Savage Worlds.  I have created a couple of setting skeletons that I will be migrating to this blog, as well as a "one sheet" adventure for the Savage Worlds of Solomon Kane.
Recently, I've been re-bitten by the mini's bug.  I'm currently playing Uncharted Seas from Spartan Games, and Warmachine from Privateer Press.  I plan to include Dystopian Wars (also Spartan Games) as well.  With the new unified rules for WarmaHordes, I may be getting a Minion force together as well.  But one step at a time.

This blog will include photos, tutorials and maybe a ran-er-philosophical editorial or two.

Cheers,

Mark
